Prayer is an integral part of life at St James. There are several opportunities
people to gather together to pray for the life of the church and one another,
Week of Prayer
Each term , a week of prayer is held within the parish. In 2009, we will meet together in our growth groups and focus on prayer during this week. This is also an opportunity for members of the parish to get together on an informal basis to pray together at a time that is convenient to them.
Weekly Meetings
Groups of intercessors meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings before breakfast to intercede for the ministry at St James.
Monday Night Prayer Group
This group meets fortnightly at the Rectory at 8pm.
Prayer Group for Healing
The healing prayer group meets weekly in the home of the Beadmans.
The group is not a complete healing ministry, as at St Andrews Cathedral on a Wednesday evening, and does not include Bible study, but is specifically a healing prayer group. It is open to anyone who wants to join in prayer for healing.
Prayer Meeting After Church
At the conclusion of the 9am and 10.30am services, there is an opportunity for
people to pray and be prayed for.
